Review: That We May Be One: A Gay Mormon’s Perspective on Faith & Family

That We May Be One: A Gay Mormon’s Perspective on Faith & Family by Tom Christofferson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I read this book in the hope of better understanding Latter-day Saint LGBTQ people, but also any people who are different from me, who sin differently from me, and ultimately to see if there's anything in this book that would help me become more like Christ. I wasn't sure what I'd find. After reading it I can say it's been one of the best books I've read that have helped me better understand how we are all truly one family, how to be more Christ-like, and that it truly doesn't matter what "sin" we each harbor - we are all part of the same body of Christ, and we all need to become ONE. Unless we do so, there is little hope for eternity. Tom Christofferson states in the book (paraphrasing) that until we are all in the same place together, it will not be heaven nor eternity. I believe that. This book is super inspiring.

Review: A Better Heart: The Impact of Christ’s Pure Love

A Better Heart: The Impact of Christ’s Pure Love by Tom Christofferson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The soft-spoken author, Tom Christofferson, has a pure and humble way of making the reader want to become more Christ-like. This book helped me ponder more how I can improve my own heart, toward Christ and my fellowman. Good book which I recommend.
