My Inventions Nikola Tesla's Autobiography by Nikola Tesla
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
A
short and interesting read, especially if you like autobiographies. It
was not as great a book as I had hoped. The ADHD and likely Asperger's
mind of Tesla vacillated between narcissism, his actual personal story
(autobiography) and the detailing of his glorious inventions, how they
came about, how they worked and why he should be given all the credit. I
found myself only half-way listening through the parts where he
aggrandized himself, and intently listening to the parts he told about
his childhood, his life, his family, his experiences that molded him.
Since
it's a very short read, it might be worth reading in one day as a way
to pass time. After all, regardless of the narcissistic parts, its worth
knowing the men who gave us so much and who truly helped to change the
world and its history.
